Aksis Special Hospital was founded in 2012. The foundation of Aksis Special Hospital was preceded by years of dedicated work, the introduction of new treatment methods, and the innovation of Polyclinic Vertebralis and Polyclinic Vertebris.
The specialist hospital was founded by a group of professionals in the field of spine neurosurgery, orthopedics and traumatology, anesthesiology and physical medicine, led by Dr. Robert Saftić as medical director.
From the outset, the goal was to bring something new, innovative, better and safer – minimally invasive – that will ensure a high level of patient satisfaction and reduce patient and healthcare costs. Two separate departments operate within Aksis Special Hospital: Department for Neurosurgery and Department for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
